Our intro:
When standard treatments like repetitive TMS, electroconvulsive therapy, and intravenous ketamine don’t bring enough relief, people with severe or treatment-resistant depression can feel stuck. In this article, the authors explore how a newer technique called deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS) might help. They share how six individuals with stubborn depression, who had already tried everything from rTMS to ECT and IV ketamine, responded to dTMS. The encouraging results suggest that dTMS could open a door to hope for those who haven’t found success with other methods.
